As part of the certification program, Heatcraft offers online course modules via the Heatcraft Learning System. These prerequisite modules introduce attendees to the products they will be trained on before hands-on classroom training.
Technical Training and Certification
We know that product training and certification can be invaluable to your business! As part of the Heatcraft Certified Contractor Program, you will be trained and certified on select Heatcraft proprietary products that will provide your business with the knowledge and skill-sets to obtain an edge over your competition.
Technical training for the Certified Contractor Program will focus on complete comprehension of best practice techniques for installation, maintenance, programming and troubleshooting on Heatcraft products and the intelliGen™ Refrigeration Controller.

Full day training and certification on the technical aspects of the intelliGen™ system, covering component overview, basic installation recommendations, setup and programming exercises, operational cycles, diagnostic features, hands-on wiring simulator exercises and troubleshooting tips and tricks.

- Complete the program pre-registration application by clicking the link below and submit. Please allow at least seven (7) business days for application verification and notification for next steps.
NOTE: This is only your pre-registration and completing the form DOES NOT guarantee you a seat in the class. Final approval is based on your successful completion of all pre-work modules. - Complete and pass pre-qualification exam with 80 percent score or higher.
- Upon passing the pre-qualification exam, complete prerequisite course modules in the Heatcraft Learning Management System. Students must complete the online modules no less than 2 weeks prior to the desired class date.
- Register for in-class Product Training and Certification Training sessions (1 day each).
- Pass the final course exam with 80 percent score or higher.
$875/per person. The cost includes the following classes:
- Prerequisite Product Introduction Training (Day 1)
- Heatcraft Certified Contractor Training (Day 2)
The following requirements must be met to be considered for acceptance into the Heatcraft Certified Contractor Program.
Refrigeration Contracting or Service Company Certification requirements:- Must be properly licensed and insured
- Lead with, and promote Heatcraft Refrigeration Products
- Maintain at least one certified technician at each location
- Commitment to ongoing training
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration (a technical degree in HVACR will count as 1 year of experience)
- Pass a pre-qualification exam testing knowledge on basic commercial refrigeration
- Complete certification courses and pass exam on Heatcraft proprietary equipment
