What is Heatcraft Doing to Meet 2020 DOE Regulatory Standards? 

Heatcraft has been working closely with the Department of Energy (DOE) since 2014 to ensure affected products meet upcoming January 1, 2020, and July 10, 2020, Annual Walk-In Energy Factor (AWEF) minimum efficiency standards. Heatcraft is committed to serving as a trusted voice in preparing our customers and our partners for regulatory changes. The key components of Heatcraft’s roadmap to DOE 2020 compliance are highlighted in this blog.

Heatcraft is on Track

As a result of advanced planning and research, Heatcraft has been able to execute product changes that not only ensure compliance by mandated dates, but in some cases, offer enhancements to impacted product lines. New products were designed to both meet AWEF minimum efficiency standards as well as to satisfy retrofit applications. Watch for upcoming blog articles where Heatcraft will be providing advance notice of product releases, including features, performance data and AWEF ratings.

Heatcraft DOE compliant equipment release dates:

• Heatcraft condensing units will be available for purchase in the fourth quarter of 2019.
• Pro³ package units will be available in the first quarter of 2020.
• Unit coolers will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2020.

Heatcraft is Simplifying the Ordering Process

To simplify and streamline the ordering process, Heatcraft is implementing a new model nomenclature format.
