Heatcraft Scores ACHR News 2020 Gold Dealer Design Award 

Heatcraft Refrigeration Products continues to build on a legacy of award-winning products by receiving the Gold award for product design excellence in the 17th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. This year’s independent panel of contractors recognized the Heatcraft ½-6 HP Air-Cooled Condensing Unit (2020 Models) as the Gold Winner in the Refrigeration and Ice Machines category.

Designed to meet Department of Energy Annual Walk-In Energy Factor (AWEF) minimum efficiency standards for the commercial refrigeration industry, the Heatcraft ½ - 6 HP Air-cooled Condensing Units, manufactured under the brands Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control and Chandler, include enhanced features for improved serviceability, safety and unit performance. Heatcraft incorporated energy efficient microchannel coils, electronically commutated (EC) motors and scroll compressors, which are approved for R-404A and new high-glide refrigerants R-407A, R-407C, R-407F, R-448A and R-449A. For convenience and safety, the ½ - 6 HP Air-Cooled Condensing Unit sight glass is uniquely positioned for easy viewing outside of the cabinet, while base valves can be accessed without panel removal and the access ports open to field piping. Additionally, servicing the unit just got simpler with the redesigned, larger electrical box featuring a pin-and-barrel style hinged door, with captive fasteners, that can be quickly removed without tools.
